Pride and Prejudice 2018

(GayWebSource.com - Gay News and Press Syndication) - Posted by SeasonsofPride.com Pride and Prejudice is a global, 24-hour event spanning three cities around the world. It will catalyze a fresh debate on the economic and human costs of discrimination against the LGBT community. The event will challenge policymakers and industry leaders to rethink the future of the LGBT movement and its impact on business. New York, London & Hong Kong; May 24, 2018 Pride and Prejudice 2018 Connect and network with over 200 leaders from the worlds of business, politics, and society to address LGBT business issues head-on and bring the debate forward.

The Economist is a proud champion of liberal values. We argued in favor of same-sex marriage in 1996 and have long been vociferous champions of the LGBT agenda. In 2016 we created Pride and Prejudice, our first 24-hour worldwide event focusing on the significance of LGBT inclusion in all aspects of business and politics. Chaired by senior editors from The Economist, our 2018 gathering will again debate how governments, companies, and individuals can become advocates, and help improve the legal rights of LGBT people worldwide.

The Economist Events’ #WorkWithPride competition (part of the Pride and Prejudice initiative, and supported by Goldman Sachs) calls on young professionals and future jobseekers to submit proposals that outline their ideas to promote LGBT inclusion in and outside of their communities and describe ways to implement them. These initiatives can take several forms, including but not limited to educational events and lectures, social gatherings, competitions, and content-creation campaigns (videos, blogs, etc.). Submissions will require project groups of 3-5 individuals to execute the initiative. This programme features a mentorship initiative with a group of Pride Mentors – advocates and allies that have achieved success in promoting LGBT inclusion and diversity initiatives. Chosen groups will participate in a mentorship programme and bring their ideas to life. This is an excellent opportunity to effect change and see the project from conception to completion. The Economist Events, with the support of Goldman Sachs, presents the #WorkWithPride competition, inviting young people across Asia to advocate for LGBT inclusivity in their own communities.
Seasons of Pride is pleased to present the Gay Pride or LGBTQ Pride Calendar for 2018.  You will find Gay Pride events, LGBT Film Festivals, and the Gay Travel Events like Gay Ski Weeks. We do our best to try and keep up with all the events, but sometimes we miss one or two.
