This year, Chaz Bono transforms Pride. The Trans* Pride marchers proudly finish their steps in Yonge-Dundas Square for a free-to-attend, all-ages showcase of Trans* artists. Here, Pride Toronto transforms Toronto’s own “Times Square” into a celebration of our out, proud and loud Trans* communities, and welcomes our GLAAD award-winning celebrity hosts, the outspoken Chaz Bono, alongside Lambda Literary award-winner S. Bear Bergman. The site of the largest-ever celebration of Trans* Pride in North America, Yonge-Dundas Square rocks out with returning local favourites Crackpuppy and seasoned pros The Cliks. In addition, taking the stage is human rights activist and adult film pioneer Buck Angel, followed by a very special feature live-performance by Mx. Justin Vivian Bond. *Trans* is an umbrella term that refers to all of the identities within the gender identity spectrum, including (but not limited to), those community members who identify as transgender, transsexual, Intersex, third gender, genderqueer, genderfluid, gender independent, transvestite, non-binary and bigender.
