The University of Birmingham is taking steps to ensure that its curriculum is inclusive towards those with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer (LGBTQ) identities.

Today, a federal district court in Alaska struck down that state’s ban on same-sex marriage as unconstitutional.
In Alaska, there are nearly 1,230 cohabiting same-sex marriage couples, of whom an estimated 23% are raising more than 560 children in their homes.
