Toulouse France LGBT Film Festival
Nine years since the DIAM Festival presents films from around the world to entertain, inform and move you!
Australia, Canada, Germany, USA, Sweden, Spain, France, Italy, Brazil, South Africa … the selection is vast and exciting, and it tackles themes that are dear to us: the construction of gender, the wanderings of youth, feminist struggles or different forms of parenting. In this regard, sociologist Irène Théry will talk about the family and will trace the struggle for the opening of marriage for all through the wonderful documentary “The sociologist and the Pooh.” In addition to the feature films unreleased in Toulouse and the surprising little documentaries on topics covered, he always seems essential to project heritage films at the Cervantes Institute, and the Cinémathèque de Toulouse, to (re ) discover some gems of LGBT cinema, like “Torch Song Trilogy,” still topical! On the other hand, discover the area of Diversity and Secularism magnificent exhibition of Danish photographer Mads Nissen. He won in 2014 first prize at the World Press Photo – the most prestigious competition in the field of photojournalism – with the image of a gay couple in Russia.
