The Vancouver Pride Society (VPS) brings together members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Two-Spirited and Queer community, their friends, allies and supporters in celebration! We represent the unique culture and spirit of our community by producing quality, inclusive events such as the Pride Parade and Festival.

The Vancouver Pride Society likes to look at what we do as celebrating diversity, encouraging social change and inclusion, and highlighting key individuals who encourage change in our community through the organization of celebratory events.

PARADE THEME

The 2015 Vancouver Pride Parade Theme is here!  This year, the theme of Gender Super Heroes was selected for our annual celebrations.  Gender Super Heroes reflects the diversity of our community, and the need for people to have role models that reflect and inspire. Growing up, who inspired you to be Proud—was it a fabulous superhero, an out family member, an LGBTQ2+ icon? Be that hero this Pride, and inspire new generations to come out and be Proud.

PRIDE GRAND MARSHALS

This year’s Pride Grand Marshals exemplify what it means to be a community leaders through their individual commitments to inclusiveness and honouring diversity. These remarkable individuals represent an intergenerational and international perspective on Pride and shape its spirit with their passion for equality.

To inspire people this year and reflect the diversity at Pride, Roan Reimer, Michelle Fortin, and Romi Chandra Herbert are this year’s Pride Grand Marshals! This year’s Grand Marshals have shown outstanding leadership in the LGBTQ2+ Community, and are Gender Superheroes in their own right!

The Pride Festival @ Sunset Beach takes place on unceded Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Territories.

Celebrate Pride in one of Vancouver’s most beautiful waterfront parks! Browse through over one hundred exhibitors in our Pride Market, including local artisans, supporters and community organizations. A variety of bands, drag performers and speakers will be featured on the main stage, with DJs spinning in the beer garden throughout the day.
