This weekend marks the 7th Norwich Pride celebrations with an exciting weekend of events packed in for your entertainment.
Friday 24th sees a rather special screening of the film Pride followed by a Q&A afterwards with Mike Jackson – Co-Founder of Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners. This rather special event is ticketed so please make sure you book to avoid disappointment from: www.picturehouses.com
Saturday 25th is the main day of events.
10:00 am – Pride Village Opens & Opening Ceremony
Come and say hello to some of TheGayUK team in the Pride Village at The Forum, Millennium Plain. The Pride Village has over 40 stalls providing information, rainbow goodies and merchandise.
12:00 Noon – Picnic & Entertainment
The Chaplefield Gardens open with a steel pan band followed by other acts. Bring your own picnic and relax in the afternoon till the start of the parade.
2:00 pm – Parade start
From Chaplefield Gardens the parade will set off to bring a sea of rainbows to the heart of Norwich. Keep an eye out for Monty TheGayUK Photographer and be sure to give him a wave! The parade ends outside The Forum by the rainbow village.
3:00 pm – 5:00 pm – Pride Show
Hosted by Ibiza’s very own Jacqui this is where the party steps up a notch. For full details visit: www.NorwichPride.org.uk
In the evening there’s five bars and clubs to choose from including, The Castle Pub, The Loft NR1, Lollard’s Pit Pub, The Catherine Wheel and Flaunt.
