The Queen City Pride Festival follows after the Saskatoon Pride Festival and is one of 4 Pride events in Saskatchewan!

Queen City Pride 2014

This festival brings together Regina’s LGBTQ community to celebrate our diversity, achievements, and memories. Each year, the members of Regina Pride, Inc. organize and host a week-long festival with events such as a ceremonial flag-raising, celebration of fine arts, community building get-togethers, educational sessions, dances, a parade through our city, and much more.

The Festival

The Queen City Pride Festival is an annual, week-long celebration of the LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans*, and Queer) community of Regina and the greater region of South Saskatchewan. The festival features a series of events, organized by Regina Pride and other community organizations, that focus on highlighting our culture, history, achievements, and struggles. Every event strives to educate, entertain, and inform participants on our sexual and gender diverse community. The Queen City Pride Festival falls on the 3rd week of June, following Prince Albert Pride and Saskatoon Pride, and preceding Moose Jaw Pride. These festivals take place during Saskatchewan’s “Pride Month”, as proclaimed by the Government of Saskatchewan each year.

The Organization

Regina Pride, Inc. is a volunteer-based non-profit organization whose purpose is to organize and host Regina’s Queen City Pride Festival. Throughout the year leading up to each festival, the Board of Directors (BOD) hosts various fundraisers, seeks sponsorships, applies for grants, and spends countless hours working with other community organizations to ensure each Pride Festival builds on the past.
