In March 1997, the world changed for medicine. Suddenly we all thought we could be hospital administrators. I was a king of the cheque book and I knew how to make cut throat decisions and heal people – it was a werid mix of Mother Teresa and Gordon Gekko. Do you remember those graphics? The squits and the fact that the patients were always cold? Don’t those pesky people know we’re in a crisis – we simply can’t afford the heating, so shut up about it. However here have another vending machine… hummmm Kit Kats.
