SOUTH DEVON ARTS CENTRE (SDAC) has launched ‘BLISS’ a new regular night of fun, live music and dance for South Devon’s LGBT community to celebrate with their friends and family.

Vicky Jackson

And there’s a spectacular first night of BLISS lined up on Saturday 25 January. There’s the World’s Premier Tribute to PINK, one of the UK’s most highly regarded new bands LIGHTKNIFE, the premier KATY PERRY Tribute, AND a dancetastic 80s DJ set from MADAME SOUZA.

Following on from the huge success of the Totnes Pride After Party last September, SDAC has been working hard on creating the best regular LGBT night in South Devon, and, believe it’s done just that!

PINK TRIBUTE

Vicky Jackson presents her awesome tribute show to American rock chick P!nk! Vicky has been performing her Pink Tribute Show since 2008 and continues to be the BEST the world over. The show features dancers and all of Pink’s BIG hits including songs from ‘The Truth About Love’, and features all the hits from the early R’n’B inspired Pink days from ‘You Make Me Sick’ and ‘Some Girls’ to the biggest hits, including ‘Get the Party Started’, ‘Just Like A Pill’, ‘Family Portrait’, ‘Who Knew’ ‘Raise Your Glass’ and ‘Perfect’.

LIGHTKNIFE

Rosie Vanier introduces her new band LIGHTKNIFE.

“Kate Bush on crack with Goldfrapp on synths”

The Guardian

After huge success fronting Rosie & The Goldbug, and touring across Europe with Cyndi Lauper, Rosie is back with a new edgy electro-pop sound.

“Rosie Vanier has a voice that leaps from sugary pop to

operatic whoops, her ivories chiming through a repertoire

raging from the turbulent to the serene.”

Independent on Sunday

Cornish girl Rosie’s early love of glitter and theatrical make up was borne from an unusual source – The Cure were once her babysitters! It’s absolutely true!

Early teenage band line-ups ebbed and flowed until Rosie’s first taste of fame and fortune arrived with Rosie and The Goldbug.

Her sex kitten, Betty Boop-gone-bad vocals, pummelling bass and choruses to die for quickly found favour with audiences at venues and festivals up and down the land.

KATY PERRY TRIBUTE

In a few short years Katy secured herself a reputation as one of the biggest selling female singers of the decade!

Featuring all Katy’s Hits from her two top selling albums this amazing tribute act brings you the outrageous and kitch show that you have been waiting for!

With Katy Perry’s vintage wardrobe and a whole heap of candy floss our very own KATY brings you ‘I kissed a girl’ ‘Hot and Cold’ ‘Waking up in Vegas’ ‘Teenage Dream’, ‘ET’, ‘TGIF’ as well as the star’s latest material.

MADAME SOUZA – 80s DJ SET

Our brilliant BLISS House DJ, MADAME SOUZA, will keep you on the dance floor with the best floor fillers of the 80s.

This promises to be a night of celebration, and the first of many. Tickets are £10 in advance or £12 on the door and can be bought from 0844 888 0435 or online at www.southdevonarts.co.uk.
