Anti-gay protestors reportedly booed Iraq war veteran Eric Alva in San Antonio when he spoke out in favor of a non-discimination ordinance at Wednesday’s city council meeting. Alva was the first marine injured in Iraq when he stepped on a landmine. He lost his leg.

Russian track stars Tatyana Firova and Kseniya Ryzhova kissed in front of the cameras twice after winning the 4×400-meter relay at the World Athletics Championships Saturday. They kissed first after winning the race, then again during the awards ceremony.

“Paratrooper Day” Brings More Anti-Gay Horribleness in Russia

Paratroopers attacked a lone gay rights activist Friday in St. Petersburg. Kirill Kalugin raised a rainbow flag to protest Russia’s anti-gay law. A group of paratroopers, celebrating Russian Paratroopers Day, threatened him, assaulted him, and formed a human chain around him.
Russian police arrested two of the paratroopers.

Four more North Texas gay bars have decided to stop carrying Russian vodka. Randy Norman announced on his Facebook page that The Rainbow Lounge, Best Friends Club, and Randy’s Club Cherries all “will dump Stolichnaya Vodka” (as of today at 6pm).
