Staged on a set which was almost as bleak as the setting of the story itself, Northern Ballet’s interpretation of Wuthering Heights tells the story of Heathcliff and Cathy, of the passion that they share as youngsters, and how that sours when Cathy chooses wealth over love, and after disappearing, Heathcliff returns to take his revenge on the two families that he sees as those responsible for his unhappiness.
