Damon and Bonnie realise the past may provide clues to going home, forcing Damon to relive one of the worst days of his life. Tripp shares a dark secret with Matt.
When Damon and Bonnie realise that uncovering a time from Damon’s past may provide clues to finding their way back home, Damon is forced to relive one of the worst days of his life. After an awkward run-in with Jo at the hospital, Alaric steps in to help Jeremy get his life together and cope with the loss of Bonnie.
Meanwhile, in Savannah, Stefan attempts to show Elena what it’s like to start over and create a new identity, while unsuspecting Matt finds himself in a disturbing situation when Tripp lets him in on a dark secret.
Lastly Stefan, who is desperate to regain some normalcy in his life, is stunned when Ivy shows up as a vampire.
The last series ended with Damon (played by Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie (played by Kat Graham) making huge sacrifices to bring loved ones back from ‘the other side’. The new series will be the story of their journey back to Mystic Falls as they explore the good vs evil inside themselves.
Matt Davis rejoins the cast as a series regular reprising his role as Alaric Saltzman.
Vampire Diaries continues on ITV2 from 9.00PM on 25th November 2014
