Vancouver Pride – Attracting crowds of more than 650,000, the Pride Parade is renowned on the international stage as one of the largest and most successful LGBTQ2+ events in the world.
The Vancouver PRIDE Society is the organizing body behind the annual Vancouver Pride Parade, Sunset Beach Festival and Market and approximately 20 events throughout the summer months. Join us for one of the most beautiful and diverse parades in the world. The Vancouver Pride Parade was granted civic status in 2013 and is one of the city’s flagship events!
Come prepared for the Parade – Be Sun smart – Wear a shirt, put on a hat, drink water and wear that sunscreen. Bring a toonie for Pride and throw it into the big rainbow flags along the route. Water – It be hot, yo! Go green – Take what you bring, don’t leave trash. Bring water from home in reusable containers!
Vancouver Frontrunners (VFR) and the Vancouver Pride Society (VPS) are thrilled to announce the return of PRIDE Run & Walk, kicking off Pride Week on Saturday July 25th.
Pride Run & Walk offers a 5.5k walk or run route and a 10k running route through the scenic trails of Stanley Park. Costumes are a highlight as are the popular Disco Water stations. 2014 was an incredible year with over $10,000 raised for charity and this year VFR hope to sign up over 500 participants and raise over $12,000 for community beneficiaries ‘Out In Schools’ and the ‘Pride Legacy Fund’.

Come down and meet new friends at Vancouver Pride’s Picnic in the Park. Directly following the Pride Run & Walk, there will be family-friendly games like the tug-of-war and drag race, as well as a volleyball tournament hosted by Out in Sports. Enjoy music spun by local DJs and visit our Pride Sports Bar. Doggy Daycare will be by donation.
Brockton Oval is an accessible space and shade tents will be provided to help beat the sun. ASL Interpreters and signing space will be provided by the B.C. Rainbow Alliance for the Deaf. Bike Valet is by donation.
